Creamy Chinese Cabbage with Ham



Servings: 2

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 15 minutes


1 tbsp oil

100g ham, sliced (try Chinese ham, bacon, or any other meat alternatives)

1" knob ginger, minced

300g Chinese cabbage, chopped in half

1 cup milk (or dairy free alternative)

1 egg white

2 tbsp corn starch slurry (2tsp of corn starch with 2 tbsp of room temperature water)

To taste salt, pepper and sugar


1. Heat in a medium saucepan, and sauce ham until fragrant but not coloured. Add ginger and cook for another minute. 

2. Add the Chinese cabbage and season with a pinch of salt

3. Pour in milk and cook for 2-3 minutes on medium heat and allow the liquid to reduce by half

4. Stir in beaten egg white and allow it to cook through (until opaque)

5. Season to taste with sugar and salt and serve with a pinch of pepper!
